Genesis Global Aviation gets commercial certification

A new Helicopter company, Genesis Global Aviation (GGA) has been issued Air Operation Certificate (AOC) to enable it operate commercial helicopter services in the country.

The certificate was presented to the company by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) at its annex inside the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.

Chairman/Accountable Manager of the Genesis Global Aviation, Capt. Emmanuel Ihenacho said the GGA had entered the industry despite the current economic downturn because of its belief in the resilience of the Nigerian economy.

He said the company would also provide helicopter services for passengers from Kaduna to Abuja with the closure of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport (NAIA) in Abuja.

Ihenacho said the acquisition of the AOC was the outcome of two years of rigorous screening and assessment by the regulatory authority, adding that “It has been a very hard and arduous journey coming to where we are these days.”

“If you want to know a bit about the AOC process, there are five stages and you have to go through rigorous examination, standards to meet, understanding the rules, so many things to do and getting the AOC today is a major milestone that we have achieved. Of course, the other objective of making money in good times will come but we are really thankful to God we have come this way”, he added.
