NGX All-Share Index still on losing streak, down 0.07% Monday by Coronation Securities Limited

Nigerian equities extended losses for the fourth consecutive session as the All-Share Index closed 0.07% weaker to settle at 49,440.21 points, the lowest point since 24 August. SEPLAT (-3.85%) caused the major drag on the broader index. Consequently, the year-to-date (YTD) return fell to 15.74%, while the market capitalization shed ₦18.99bn to close at ₦26.67trn.

Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled higher relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions increasing by 28.70%. A total of 67.37m shares valued at ₦1.48bn were exchanged in 3,386 deals. FBNH (+0.00%) led the volume chart with 9.67m units traded while SEPLAT (-3.85%) led the value chart in deals worth ₦615.12m.

Market breadth closed flat. ABCTRANSPORT (-10.00%) led ten (10) others on the laggard’s log while ETRANZACT (+9.97%) topped ten (10) others on the leader’s table. Find below key highlights of market activities.
