Nigerian stock market continues gaining streak, up by 0.04% on Thursday

The Nigerian stock exchange continues its gaining streak on Thursday as the All-Share Index went up by 0.04% higher to settle at 55,822.14 points. As a result the market capitalization increased by N11.44 billion to close at N30.41 trillion while the Year-to-date (YTD) return increased to 8.92%.

Trade turnover experienced a 13.42% decrease in transaction value with 3,627 transactions totaling 311.48 million shares worth N3.09 billion completed.

DANGCEM (+1.05%%) and GTCO (+0.57%) gains more than offset MTNN (-0.48%) and WAPCO (-0.19%) losses. With 179.84 million units exchanged, TRANSCORP (+8.66%) headed the volume chart, while GTCO (+0.57%) won the value chart with transactions totaling $1.10 billion. While TRANSCORP (+8.66%) led seven (7) others on the leader’s log, CONOIL (-9.93%) outperformed fourteen (14) other companies on the leader’s table.
