WEST AFRICA CLEAN COOKING FUND
The Fund will be accelerated by a US$1 million commitment from The Worthington Companies Foundation and contributions from other organizations to help advance qualified projects that create the infrastructure, equipment and training needed for sustainable adoption of clean and safe cooking with liquid propane gas (LPG). Non-government organizations (NGOs) equipped to manage and implement projects, as well as impact-minded organizations interested in participating in The West Africa Clean Cooking Fund, should submit an expression of interest.
The West Africa Clean Cooking Fund will target projects in the nations of Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo. Beneficiaries include households, communities, and organizations dedicated to advancing clean cooking solutions.

GUARANTEES FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY INVESTMENTS
This call for proposals is application-based and open to all applicants (Norwegian or international) that meet the criteria outlined in sections 4 and 5. Applications are evaluated according to the objectives, priorities and criteria set out below. In addition, Norad will continuously assess our total guarantee-portfolio to ensure that we adhere to our mandate.
The Norwegian Sovereign Guarantee Scheme for Renewable Energy is a 5-year (pilot) unfunded guarantee scheme that aims to catalyse investments for energy projects in low- and middle-income countries (LIC and MIC).

DECARBONIZING HUMANITARIAN ENERGY
In partnership with UNDP and NORCAP, the Global Platform for Action (GPA) at UNITAR has developed a Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF) on Decarbonising Humanitarian Energy (DHE), with initial funding of approx. $22 million by the German Federal Foreign Office, the program will focus on transitioning from diesel-powered generators to renewable energy systems in humanitarian settings in the countries of the Sahel Region. The implementation will start in Niger and Nigeria in the first phase. Any organizations working in these regions are welcome to join this initiative and be part of the green transition.
