Nigerian stock market losses 10bps on Wednesday Trading Activities
- In the Nigerian stock market today, the All Share Index ( ASI) and market capitalisation shed 10bps settling at 109,619.10 points and N68.89trn respectively, and consequently reversing the gains in the previous session. This brought the ASI year-to-date to 6.50% from 6.61% in the previous trading session.
- Market turnover closed mixed as the trading volume edged higher by 33.62% to close at 664.15m units, while the value declined by 1.64% to N12.99bn. JAPAULGOLD (-3.37%) led the volume chart with 90.02m units while NB (+0.34%) led the value chart with N3.13bn.
- Market breadth stood at 1.07-to-1 ratio with advancers outnumbering the decliners. RTBRISCOE (+10.00%) and ENISELL (+9.75%) were top gainers, while CHAMPION (-10.00%) and LASACO (-10.00%) were top losers.
