Unity Bank Reaffirms Its Commitment to Customer Service Excellence 

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Unity Bank Plc, Mr. Ebenezer Kolawole, has emphasized that a strong service culture anchored on responsiveness and innovation is what truly defines impactful customer service excellence within any organization.

Speaking at the launch of Unity Bank’s 2025 Customer Service Week, Mr. Kolawole noted that the increasing sophistication of customers has inspired the Bank to focus on customer experience innovation. He explained that Unity Bank continues to invest in technology, systems, and human capital to enhance customer satisfaction and redefine its service journey.

Commending the Bank’s staff for their consistent commitment, the Managing Director praised the dedication of the frontline employees and reaffirmed the Bank’s pledge to deliver superior service at all customer touchpoints. He added that the theme of this year’s celebration, “Mission: Possible,” reflects Unity Bank’s conviction that every customer’s needs can be met through innovation, teamwork, and a service-driven culture.

Mr. Kolawole further noted that Unity Bank’s customer service teams are widely recognized for their professionalism, passion, and resilience in driving the institution’s mission of providing exceptional service to its growing customer base. He reiterated the Bank’s clear focus: “At Unity Bank, our goal is to make banking simple, accessible, and rewarding for every customer. ‘Mission Possible’ defines how we approach every challenge — whether through digital platforms, in-branch interactions, or customer support engagements.”

The Bank’s Chief Customer Service Officer, Mrs. Elfrida Igebu, also highlighted the importance of celebrating employees who consistently exceed expectations in serving customers. According to her, the 2025 theme serves as a reminder that even the most demanding tasks can be achieved with teamwork, positivity, and a customer-first attitude. She added, “Our frontline teams exemplify this daily, showing that at Unity Bank, service excellence is not merely an objective — it is our identity.”

Throughout the week-long celebration, Unity Bank organized a series of activities across its branches and offices nationwide, including customer appreciation sessions, staff recognition awards, festive decorations, themed service costumes, and digital media engagements — all designed to enhance the celebratory atmosphere of Customer Service Week 2025.
