Kwik introduces KwikShelf an on-demand e-commerce fulfillment center

Kwik (https://Kwik.delivery), a rapidly expanding digital platform for logistics services, today announced the opening of KwikShelf, its first on-demand e-commerce fulfillment center in Lagos.

KwikShelf is a 1,1250 sqm facility in Iddo House, Oyingbo, Lagos that will open in September. Nigerian merchants will be able to book warehousing space on demand and completely outsource the storage and fulfillment of their product from this safe, secure, and central location in a scalable, inexpensive, and efficient manner.

“With KwikShelf, Nigerian businesses and merchants will be able to locate their fast-moving inventories in the heart of Lagos and deliver orders to their customers in record time.” Whether you need one square meter or a hundred, for a month or a year, KwikShelf will provide you with the necessary flexibility and ensure that your products reach your clients with lightning speed. And no more fixed costs,” Kwik CEO Romain POIROT-LELLIG said.

“In Nigeria, KwikShelf is a ground-breaking project that combines e-commerce and commercial real estate.” We are thrilled that this project includes a significant portion of Leventis’ commercial real estate portfolio.” Seun ONI, CEO of A.G. Leventis Ltd, the owner of Iddo House, stated as much.

KwikShelf intends to build up to 20 e-commerce fulfillment centers in major Nigerian cities to meet the country’s rising demand for flexible warehousing and fulfillment solutions. Its fulfillment services are fully integrated with the award-winning last-mile delivery service provided by Kwik.

“While the rise of e-commerce in Nigeria has taken longer than expected, e-commerce transactions at Kwik are beginning to supplant offline transactions.” This corresponds to growing living and transportation expenditures. Supply chains are scrambling for efficiency, and KwikShelf is perfectly positioned to help,” said Yinka OLAYANJU, cofounder and COO of Kwik.

A.G. Leventis is a Nigerian conglomerate created in 1937 by its Greek namesake. It is one of Nigeria’s largest and most respected conglomerates in the automotive, logistics, real estate, and retail sectors.

Romain POIROT-LELLIG, Iyeyinka OLAYANJU, and Olivier DECROCK established Kwik in Lagos in 2018 to create a one-stop digital platform for logistic services in Africa. The company connects delivery partners and warehouse owners with merchants and businesses, as well as providing clients with finance and payment services.
