Ailing Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu Commences Medical Leave
As a result of his medical treatment, Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, will begin his medical leave on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
Governor Akeredolu would put his health first during his medical vacation and make sure he recovers completely before returning to his official responsibilities.
The House of Assembly will get an official letter about the medical leave and a notice that formally transfers authority in accordance with the Nigerian Constitution. overnor Akeredolu will be absent, and Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Deputy Governor, will fill in as Governor in an acting capacity.
Governor Akeredolu conveys his appreciation for the Ondo State people’s steadfast love and support. He gives them his word that his administration is still dedicated to advancing the interests of the populace and ensuring their prosperity.
Governor Akeredolu, a highly regarded Nigerian and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, has always given authority to his deputy when on yearly holidays. When he left on his prior trips on April 1, 2021, April 1, 2022, April 3, 2023, and July 10, 2023, this practice was noted.
