Apply for the SEforALL Women in Clean Cooking Mentorship Programme 2023 for African Women
Sustainable Energy for All, the Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET), and the Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) are pleased to announce the third cohort of a mentorship program aimed exclusively at women in the clean cooking industry in Africa, Asia, and Haiti.
In 2023, the “Women in Clean Cooking” (WICC) mentorship program will support women in the clean cooking sector, including benefits such as:
Learning from experienced professionals in the energy business.
Obtaining career-enhancing activities to support concrete aims.
Improving professional and personal development.
Promoting strategic thinking and innovative ideas.
Mentees Are Needed
The following are the application criteria:
Must be an African, Asian, or Haitian national working in any African, Asian, or Haitian country.
Must be a woman working in clean cooking with a strong personal interest in contributing to the attainment of SDG 5 and 7 by promoting the participation of other women in the process, as well as a dedication to women’s empowerment and gender equality.
With 2-10 years of work experience, you must be in an early to mid-career role.
The mentorship program is also built around the following criteria:
Regional emphasis on early to mid-career professionals in Africa, Asia, and Haiti; 9 months of bilateral engagement between mentees and mentors along mutually agreed-upon professional development goals.
Careful matchmaking and ongoing support from the GWNET Secretariat, in collaboration with CCA and SEforALL.
A series of special crafted knowledge-transfer webinars based on the mentee cohort’s needs.
Elements for developing professional leadership and communication skills.
Opportunities for virtual networking at worldwide energy and/or renewables events.
