Bring Your Old Naira Notes To The Bank, UBA Appeals To Its Customers
The United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has appealed to its customers to bring their old notes to the bank for depositing, the bank advised the customers to follow the procedure outlined by the CBN, noting that positing. according to the email notice sent to its millions of customers today, the Bank said that is has not stopped collecting old N1,000 and old N500 Naira notes.
In bringing their notes for depositing, the bank reminded customers that the maximum deposit value per customer is N500,000 and that its branches are open on Saturdays to welcome and serve clients.
This appeal follows CBN’s directive to commercial banks to collect old Naira notes from citizens subject to a limit of N500,000 per customer. The earlier directive was for people to take the old Naira notes to CBN branches. However, when people obeyed and went to the various CBN branches today, the directive was altered and they were asked to go back to their commercial banks and deposit their old Naira notes.
