Bumper Profit for stock market investors as market capitalization gain N534.01 billion on Monday
The Nigerian stock market All Share Index rose by 1.61% to close at 61,949.24 points on Monday. As a result the year-to-date (YTD) return increased to 20.87% while the market capitalization increased by N534.01 billion to close at N33.73 trillion.
Trade turnover was lower than it had been during Fridas session with a 12.01% decrease in transaction value. In total, 12,128 transactions involved 1.21 billion shares worth a total of N14,04 billion.
The market remained positive thanks to rising demand for MTNN (+1.68%), ZENITHBANK (+2.92%), and GTCO (+4.92%). While ACCESSCORP (+9.94%) dominated the value chart with trades totaling 2.38bn, FCMB (+5.88%) led the volume chart with 173.81m units exchanged.
FIDELITYBK (+10.00%) outperformed 49 additional participants in the leader’s log, while CORNERST (-9.09%) outperformed seven additional participants in the laggard’s table.
