Cornerstone Insurance and NEM partner on new insurance scheme Eagle Social Welfare Scheme to all Nigerians

Cornerstone Insurance and NEM Insurance in partnership with Eagle Search Services Nigeria Ltd have announced an agreement to provide a group personal accident social welfare scheme known as ‘Eagle Social Welfare Scheme’ to all Nigerians across the country.

The official launching was held recently at the Cornerstone Insurance corporate head office in Lagos on Wednesday December 1, 2021

The Group Managing Director/CEO of Cornerstone Insurance, Ganiyu Musa, who is also the Chairman of Nigeria Insurance Association, NIA, officially unveiled the scheme at the Cornerstone Insurance corporate head office in Lagos. He was assisted by the Group Managing Director/CEO of NEM Insurance, Tope Smart who was represented by the Head of Underwriting, Bolanle Baruwa. Also present were Dr Deji Bolusemihi, MD of Midfield Insurance Brokers

Ganiyu Musa reiterated that this scheme is a good opportunity to deepen insurance penetration in the country and it will also assist in letting people know that insurance works.

The scheme is designed to provide medical relief to the populace in the event of domestic accidents, accidents at work, vehicular accidents, temporary/permanent disability and death resulting from an accident.

The commencement of the social welfare scheme will further boost economic security, create employment and develop new asset pools that can be invested in other ways to support economic development while reducing sufferings from injuries, disabilities from accidents and high death rates.
