England demolish Senegal 3-0 to reach 2022 World Cup Quarterfinals in Qatar

England today defeated the African champions, Senegal, 3-0 in the round of 16 to reach the quarterfinals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. England will now face France in one of the quarterfinal games slated for Saturday. Earlier, France, the defending champions had beaten Poland 3-1 with Mpape scoring two of the goals.

Senegal had started the game well and were mounting pressure on the English team until a counter attack saw Henderson slot in the first goal for England. Then just before the half time, during the extra time of the first half, Harry Kane made it 2 for England.

On resumption of play in the second half, Saka made it three goals for England, further sinking the Teranga Lions of Senegal and showing them the exit door of the 2022 Qatar World Cup
