How to apply for the ALX/Mastercard Tech Training 2024 cohort
ALX, a renowned global training provider in the tech industry, is now accepting applications for its ALX/Mastercard Tech Training 2024 cohort in an effort to bridge the digital skills gap in Africa. The applications are open to young Africans aged between 18 and 34. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to participate in training programs that cover a wide range of on-demand technology courses, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) Essentials, front-end and back-end software engineering, data analytics, and data science.
Additionally, ALX offers courses on Customer Relations Management (CRM) tools for Salesforce administrators and AWS Cloud Computing. Since 2021, ALX has already enrolled over 100,000 students. The company aims to contribute significantly to addressing the talent shortage, which is predicted to surpass 85 million people by 2030. By the end of this year, ALX plans to train 750,000 African youths.
ALX/Mastercard Tech Training
ALX operates as a division of African Leadership International (ALI), an ecosystem of organizations dedicated to fostering a new generation of ethical and entrepreneurial African leaders. In February of last year, ALX announced a partnership with Mastercard to provide this training to young Africans.
According to ALX, the cost of these courses in Africa ranges from $7,500 to $39,750, while in Europe and North America, it ranges from $14,500 to $79,500. However, eligible candidates will have access to these programs at no cost through the partnership with the Mastercard Foundation.
