India Africa Entrepreneurship & Investment Summit
The India-Africa Economic Forum in partnership with the India Angels Network (IAN) and the Africa Business Angels Network (ABAN), and with the support of the Economic Development Board of Mauritius, is proud to present the first-ever India Africa Entrepreneurship & Investment Summit.
Building vibrant ecosystems
A strong and vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem is an essential requirement for rapid and sustainable growth of any society. India is already home to the second-largest startup ecosystem in the world, while the African startup ecosystem has seen a remarkable turnaround over the last few years, creating and sustaining numerous opportunities for startups.
Much in common Although India and Africa share deep historical, commercial, and cultural ties, their startup and entrepreneurial ecosystems are yet to be connected in a meaningful way. This is despite the fact that both regions have much in common and much to gain from interacting.
About The Summit
The Summit, scheduled to take place August 16-18 in Mauritius, is a first step in the larger objective of building a community of entrepreneurs, investors and ecosystem supporters between India and Africa.
The African investor community will be represented by leading investors and ecosystem supporters including Eghosa Omoigui, Vu Qabaka, Folabi Esan, Zach George, Tomi Davies, Sanjay Mungur and David van Dijk.
The Summit will also see the official launch of the Angel Investors of Mauritius (AIM) as well as an Angel Investor Masterclass hosted by Empretec of Mauritius and ABAN, the African Business Angel Network.
