NEMA Distributes More Relief Materials to Flood Disaster Affected-Persons in Osun State
On March 6, 2023, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), South West zonal office and OSUN SEMA worked together to give humanitarian aid to flood victims in the Osun State town of Lesa. In order to help people start again, five LGAs in Osun State—ORIADE, EJIGBO, ILESA EAST, ILESA WEST, and ATAKUNMOSA—were severely affected by the floods of 2022.
The DG, Alh Mustafa Habib, was represented by the Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Saheed Akiode, who spoke to the beneficiaries and showed his sincere concern. He claimed that the products will lessen the effects of the catastrophe. He gave them the assignment to learn catastrophe preparedness.
Mr. Amos Adele, General Manager of Osun SEMA, thanked the federal government for the wonderful gift and for always coming to their assistance on behalf of the state government. He claimed that the aid supplies would significantly lessen the suffering of the impacted people.
Mrs. Esther John, speaking on behalf of the recipients, praised NEMA’s initiatives for its continued assistance.
