Nigerian Fintech Company Flutterwave gets approval to operate in Egypt
Flutterwave, a Nigerian fintech business, has been granted permission to operate in Egypt as a payment service provider. As a result, the business may begin in the nation to collect and send payments both domestically and abroad.
The Flutterwave for Business suite of products, including the store, payment connections, invoicing, and checkout, will be made available in Egypt thanks to these licenses.
One of the top financial companies in Africa, Flutterwave is frequently mentioned as the most valuable firm in the area. Recently, the business has been expanding, opening offices in several markets.
With the company’s recent entry into the Ethiopian market, consumers can now send money there via cash pick-up locations. Ethiopians living abroad can send money home to be picked up by their loved ones at Amole agents, Dashen bank branches, and Ethiopian postal service locations.
“Our goal is to use payments to link the entire continent of Africa to the rest of the world. This makes it simpler for global corporations to develop into Africa. This accomplishment is another another stride in that direction, according to Olugbenga GB Agboola, founder and CEO of Flutterwave.
“This is the beginning of more key victories in the North Africa and Middle East regions,” said Aalaa Gamal, regional manager for Flutterwave.
The popular reality TV program Big Brother Titans will return thanks to a cooperation between the fintech and Multichoice Africa, which was just confirmed.
