Nigerian stock market capitalization increased by N20.35 billion on Monday
The NGX All-Share Index rose by 0.07% to settle at 54,364.67 points Monday while the year-to-date (YTD) return increased to 6.08% and the market capitalization increased by N20.35 billion to close at N29.61 trillion.
Trade turnover decreased when compared to Friday with a 40.72% decrease in transaction value. In all 3,553 transactions totaling 140.84 million shares worth N3.16 billion were completed.
The broader index was held afloat by gains in ZENITHBANK (+1.79%), WAPCO (+2.35%), and ACCESSCORP (+0.55%), offsetting declines in GTCO (-0.20%) and FBNH (-1.69%). With 28.62 million shares traded, UBA (+0.60%) led the volume chart, and DANGCEM (+0.00%) led the value chart with transactions totaling 812.89 million. On the leader’s table, CONOIL (+9.98%) had a twelve (12)-point lead over the competition, while FIDELITYBK (-2.87%) had a six-point lead over the competition.
