Nigerian stock market all share Index closed Monday trading session with 0.22% gain to settle at 52,579.52 points. As a result, the year-to-date (YTD) return increased to 2.59% and the market capitalization increased by N61.53 billion to close at N28.63 trillion. The market’s performance was boosted by persistent purchase demand in ZENITHBANK (+1.46%), GTCO (+1.87%), and WAPCO (+0.61%).
Trade turnover settled with 5,883 transactions involving 511.38 million shares worth N7.14 billion were completed. With 167.62 million shares traded in transactions totaling N1.92 billion, ACCESSCORP (+2.67%) topped the volume and value charts.
Twenty-two (22) other companies were headed by INTBREW (+6.82%) in the leader’s log, while TRANSCORP (-7.73%) was topped by twelve (12) other companies on the laggard’s table.
