Nigerian stock market gains N212.81 billion on Tuesday
The Nigerian stock market all share index rose rose 0.59% on Tuesday to close at 66,770.97 points. The year-to-date (YTD) return increased to 30.28% as a result, and the market capitalization increased by N212.81 billion to close at N35.54 trillion.
The market’s robust performance was primarily driven by increased investor interest in BUACEMENT (+9.94%), ZENITHBANK (+0.16%), and GTCO (+2.18%), which outweighed declines in MTNN (-1.52%), FBNH (-0.61%), and WAPCO (-1.50%).
Trade turnover decreased in comparison to the prior session, with a 15.02% decrease in transaction value. In total, 7,537 transactions involved 364.32 million shares worth N3.85 billion. With 33.22 million units traded, FIDELITYBK (+1.20%) led the volume chart, while GTCO (+2.18%) won the value chart with transactions totaling N752.68 million.
On the leader’s log, BUACEMENT (+9.94%) outperformed 19 other competitors, while LINKASSURE (-10.00%) outperformed 17 other competitors on the laggard’s table.
