Nigerian stock market investors gain over N263 billion on Monday trading session
Nigerian stock market investors gained on Monday trading session as the All Share Index increased by 0.71% to conclude at 67,877.17 points. As a result, the year-to-date (YTD) return for the ASI increased to 32.44%, and the market capitalization increased by N263.49 billion to close at N37.15 trillion.
A rise in telco heavyweight AIRTELAFRI (+1.60%), together with GTCO (+0.14%) and STANBIC (+9.58%), was principally responsible for the market’s success.
Trade turnover settled higher than it did last Friday as 8,357 transactions involving 515.28 million shares worth N8.93 billion were completed. With 109.47 million units exchanged, UBA (+8.51%) led the volume charts, while AIRTELAFRI (+1.60%) won the value charts with transactions totaling. On the leader’s log, OANDO (+10.00%) outperformed nineteen (19) rivals, while COURTVILLE (-8.47%) outperformed thirteen (13) rivals.
