This initiative aims to provide a streamlined payment solution that will significantly benefit cross-border online merchants targeting Africa for growth opportunities.
The company delivers a straightforward, user-friendly, and scalable platform for businesses seeking to enhance their regional presence, facilitating access to prominent local payment methods such as MPESA, Airtel, and MTN. The latest expansion includes Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal, South Africa, and Nigeria, following recent launches in Rwanda, Zambia, Uganda, and Tanzania just three months prior.
This expansion reinforces PayRetailers‘ commitment to unlocking new avenues for growth for its clients, offering seamless access to emerging markets. Notably, existing clients will experience no integration challenges, as the entire process is managed through a single API.
A considerable portion of the African population remains underbanked, prompting PayRetailers to enhance financial inclusion throughout the region by aiding businesses in their growth endeavors. The market is becoming increasingly mobile and interconnected, attracting global enterprises eager to explore the substantial growth potential within Africa.
This expansion represents a pivotal achievement in PayRetailers’ ambitious growth strategy, with plans for further expansion into additional African nations and Europe. Drawing on its extensive experience in Latin America, the company is well-prepared to cater to the distinct needs of African consumers and businesses.
Jonathan Vintner, Global Head of Sales at PayRetailers, stated:
“Entering eight new markets signifies a crucial milestone for PayRetailers as we persist in our mission to deliver customized payment solutions to various regions. Africa is a dynamic and diverse continent, characterized by differing payment preferences across its regions. For instance, our launch in Kenya allows merchants to utilize M-Pesa, the leading mobile money service in the country, while in South Africa, we provide a combination of card and cash solutions to satisfy local requirements. All of this is seamlessly integrated into our existing API, enabling merchants to access premier payment methods across Latin America and now Africa through a single connection—with additional countries on the horizon.”
