Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund to win the UEFA Champions League for the 15th time
Real Madrid Football Club today at Wembley Stadium, London, England, beat Borussia Dortmund Football Club by 2:0 to win the 2023/2024 UEFA Champions league, lifting the trophy for the fifteenth time, the highest that any club has won it.
Borussia Dortmund came into the game fighting hard and playing very well, missing several scoring chances. But in the second half, the Dortmund Football Club coach, Edin Terzic, made a tactical error when he submitted the team’s play maker, Adeyemi Karim. Immediately thereafter, the team collapsed and became a shadow of itself, gifting Real Madrid two good goals within ten minutes.
Real Madrid’s first goal came through a header by Daniel Carvajal in the 74th minute of play while the second goal was clinically scored by Vinicius junior in the 83rd minute, as he seized a poor defensive play by Borussia Dortmund to put his club two goals up in the game.
Knocks must go to the coach of Borussia Dortmund Football Club for his incompetence and poor tactical decision in making the wrong calls and substitutions that led to the collapse of his team. Before the substitution, Borussia Dortmund had more attempts on goals than Real Madrid, and those attempts had the inputs of the play maker, Adeyemi Karim.
