Attention all qualified individuals! The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) is currently accepting applications for full-time positions in the Federal Fire Service (FFS). If you are interested in joining the CLASS A: CADRE INSPECTORATE or the CATEGORY B: CADRE ASSISTANT, here are the requirements:

CLASS A: CADRE INSPECTORATE

I. Fire Inspector (IF) CONPASS 07

• Applicants must hold a registered nurse (RN), registered midwife (RM), or registered nurse/midwife (RNIM) credential from an accredited institution.

II. CONPASS 06 Assistant Inspector of Fire (AIF)

• Candidates must possess a National Diploma (ND) or NCE in a relevant field from any accredited polytechnic institution.

CATEGORY B: CADRE ASSISTANT

I. CONPASS 04 Fire Assistant II (FA II)

• Applicants must have a maximum of five (5) credits in the GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO, or similar exams, with English and Mathematics included.

II. Appliance Driver (Specialist), Fire Assistant III (FA III), CONPASS 03

• Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) credits in the GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO, or its equivalents, with at least English and Mathematics included. Having a Class E driver’s license will give you an advantage.

RECRUITMENT: MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

I. Only individuals who are Nigerian citizens by birth are eligible to apply.

II. It is essential for candidates to fulfill all necessary requirements. Any credentials or qualifications that were not submitted and approved during the recruitment process will not be considered.

III. Candidates must be in good health and provide a medical fitness certificate from an accredited government hospital.

IV. RECRUITMENT INTO THE FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE (FFS) Candidates must have a clean record and no history of criminal convictions.

V. Applicants must not be drug addicts, members of secret societies, or affiliated with cults, among other restrictions.

VI. Candidates should not have a history of financial difficulties or embarrassment.

VII. The age range for applicants is between 18 and 35 years old.

VIII. Men must have a minimum height of 1.65 meters, while women must have a minimum height of 1.60 meters.

IX. For male applicants, the chest measurement should not be less than 0.87.

X. Possessing computer literacy skills will be advantageous.
