The Nigerian stock market All-Share Index (ASI) closed higher on Thursday with a 0.02% gain to close at 54,520.20 points. The market capitalization increased by N7.53 billion to close at N29.70 trillion, while the year-to-date (YTD) return increased to 6.38%.
Trade turnover fell by 17.28% in transaction value while in a total of 2,670 transactions, 125.86 million shares worth N3.60 billion were exchanged. With 19.17 million units exchanged, GTCO (+0.20%) led the volume chart, and DANGCEM (+0.00%) led the value chart with transactions totaling $1.95 billion.
WAPCO (-2.44%) and FBNH (-0.43%) had drops, which were partially offset by gains in ZENITHBANK (+0.59%), GTCO (+0.20%), and NB (+1.23%). JAPAULGOLD (+7.14%) led ten (10) other teams in the leader’s table and COURTVILLE (-9.62%) led twelve (12) other teams on the laggard’s log.
