Stock market investors gain N14.70 billion as the All Share Index rose by 0.05% on Tuesday
The Nigerian Stock Exchange closed Tuesday’s trading session with the All Share Index going up by 0.05% to close at 52,605.78 points. Subsequently, the year-to-date (YTD) return increased to 2.64%, while market capitalization increased by N14.70 billion to close at N28.64 trillion.
ZENITHBANK (+0.41%) and GTCO (+0.41%) were the key drivers of the market’s overall performance, outweighing losses in ACCESSCORP (-1.30%), DANGSUGAR (-0.52%), and UBN (-1.41%).
Trade turnover witnessed the value of transactions falling by 0.09% and in a total of 5,684 transactions, 640.97 million shares worth N7.13 billion were completed. ACCESSCORP (-1.30%) lead the volume and value charts, with 129.73 million units exchanged in transactions worth $1.48 billion.
CONOIL (+10.00%) outperformed twenty-two (22) other companies on the leader’s board, while UNITYBNK (-9.26%) outperformed fourteen (14) other companies on the laggard’s board.
