Stock market investors gain N8.82 billion as the All-Share Index makes a marginal recovery of 0.03% on Tuesday
The Nigerian stock exchange all share-index gained 0.03% to close at 54,904.68 points at the end of today’s trading activities, ending a one week losing streak. The ASI’s year-to-date (YTD) return climbed as a result, rising to 7.13%, and the market capitalization increased by N8.82 billion to settle at N29.91 trillion.
The market’s recovery was fueled by ZENITHBANK (+1.41%), WAPCO (+2.17%), and STANBIC (+0.68%). Trade turnover was however lower compared to Monday’s session with a 44.84% decrease in transaction value. In total, 2,987 transactions involved 127.74 million shares worth N1.59 billion were completed.
ZENITHBANK (+1.41%) topped the value chart with transactions totaling 298.84m, while UBA (-1.23%) lead the volume chart with 19.60m units. On the leader’s log, LINKASSURE (+9.76%) outperformed eleven (11) rivals, while CADBURY (-5.83%) outperformed eight (8) rivals.
