Stock market investors lose yet another N138 billion as NGX All Share Index declines by 0.47% on Tuesday
The All share Index of the Nigerian exchange limited lost 0.47% to settle at 53,498.27 points on Tuesday and as a result the year-to-date (YTD) return decreased to 4.38%, and the market capitalization decreased by N137.55 billion to close at N29.14 trillion.
Trade turnover experienced a 52.72% decrease in transaction value with a total of 3,071 transactions involving 202.85 million shares worth N2.05 billion completed. Increases in BUAFOODS (+3.03%) countered losses in DANGCEM (-4.17%).
With 61.49 million units exchanged, TRANSCORP (+4.48%) topped the volume chart, while GTCO (+0.00%) topped the value table with transactions totaling 291.14 million. On the leader’s log, PZ (+9.62%) outperformed fourteen (14) other competitors, while CHAMS (-8.00%) outperformed six (6) other competitors.
