Trina Solar appoints Solar Power Etal as new distributor in Nigeria
UAE-based Trina Solar, a leading global PV and smart energy total solution provider, has signed a distributor agreement with Solar Power Etal to supply Trina Solar’s products and solutions in Nigeria.
With Nigeria having enormous solar energy potential, this agreement will ensure the availability of Trina Solar’s tier 1 PV modules in this key West African market and will further boost the company’s ambitious expansion across the continent.

According to The Middle East Solar Industry Association (MESIA), the Mena region alone has a prospected energy investment that could hit $1 trillion in the 2019-2023 period.

Trina Solar recently published its 2020 full-year financial results announcing an operating revenue of $4.429 billion and achieving net income attributable to shareholders of $188 million. The company’s total module capacity reached 22GW in 2020, and module shipments reached 15.915GW, ranking third in the world, tally to the 2020 annual shipment guidance published in Q3 2020 by IHS Markit.
Trina Solar currently has over 66GW of module shipments worldwide with more than 5GW of accumulative grid connections and is also proudly responsible for setting twenty world records for silicon cell efficiency and solar module power output since 2011.
