Applications now Open for the AWS FinTech Africa Accelerator
The official opening of the AWS FinTech Africa Accelerator has been announced by Amazon Web Services’ Startup Loft Accelerator. The program is accessible to African fintech innovators in the pre-seed and seed stages who are developing businesses to address pressing problems in payments, open/embedded finance, digital banking, and blockchain.
Applications are also encouraged from startups developing decentralized finance, fintech-as-a-service, and other fintech categories.
The equity-free accelerator program aims to assist early-stage fintech businesses with everything from technology to product development to go-to-market strategy and prepare founders for the complexities of funding. The 10-week virtual accelerator is created to provide CEOs and CTOs with the resources they need to achieve meaningful development and scale, as well as introduce them to top mentors and a global alumni network of the AWS Startup Loft Accelerator.
The accelerator will work directly with CTOs to prepare them with everything from hiring top talent to managing an engineering team, creating a minimal viable product, and understanding design principles for cloud architecture. This is because Amazon has the industry’s best cloud infrastructure.
The AWS Activate program, which will give each business up to $25K USD in AWS Activate Credits as well as a variety of other services as well as special deals from AWS’ partner companies, is also open to cohort members.
Industry heavyweights including Techcabal, the Africa Fintech Summit, Lateral Frontiers, Unicorn Growth Fund, Vestbee, Stripe, and many others sponsor the program. The program will provide founders with tech tools, knowledgeable advice, and access to a global network of business leaders, technologists, entrepreneurs, investors, associations, and partners with the help of these partners. Applications are open until April 27, 2023. Apply Here
