Apply for OpenAi’s Converge $1million investment startup program

Applications for OpenAI’s second Converge, an annual investment and mentorship program for disruptive artificial intelligence firms, are currently being accepted. Businesses that are chosen for the program will participate in a six-week program at OpenAI’s Silicon Valley facilities and earn a $1 million investment from the OpenAI Startup Fund.

Four businesses were chosen by OpenAI last year to be part of the inaugural Converge “cohort.” They were: Descript, Harvey, Mem, Speak.

OpenAI plans to invest through Converge in 10 to 15 startups that are developing or creating a product that creatively applies artificial intelligence. As stated by the firm, “we’re excited to hear from founders from underrepresented backgrounds and those based outside the United States.” Prior expertise working with A.I. systems is not essential.

The course requires four to six hours of time every week from March 11 to April 19. Founders should apply online by Friday, January 26, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time in order to be considered. Only your company name, a one-sentence pitch, a link to your website, a list of all of your founders, a 30-second video promoting your idea, and your email address are required for the free application.
