Apply for the 2020 Making Finance Work for Women FinTech Innovation Challenge

1 billion women around the world do not have access to financial services, and there is a persistent 9% gender gap in financial access across emerging markets. Furthermore, women are particularly vulnerable to the economic and social impact of global challenges, such as COVID-19. Women’s World Banking wants to identify standout FinTech innovators helping unbanked and underserved women access financial services in order to build security and prosperity, particularly in times of global economic uncertainties.


Why You Should Apply:

The Finalists will:

  • Present at Women’s World Banking Making Finance Work for Women Virtual Summit.
  • Gain access to 125+ leaders in financial inclusion, including financial service providers, investors, donors, etc. 
  • Receive one year of membership into Women’s World Banking’s Network of Partners.

Two Grand Prize Winners will:

  • Receive tuition coverage for a pair of leaders (male or female senior executive and high potential woman leader) to attend the the next cohort of the Leadership and Diversity for Innovation Program together.* 
  • Compete as a finalist in the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s (MAS) Global FinTech Hackcelerator (powered by KPMG Digital Village) during the Singapore FinTech Festival in November 2020, and be fast-tracked to receive a MAS Proof-of-Concept Grant up to S$200,000. The top three winners of the MAS Global FinTech Hackcelerator will also get an additional S$50,000 Cash Prize.
