Apply for the ICCROM Cultural Entrepreneurship Programme for cultural entrepreneurs 2023

Applications for prospective learning partners to join the Cultural Entrepreneurship Programme are currently open as part of the worldwide initiative Undertaking Business in Culture, a collaboration between ICCROM and the Fondazione Scuola dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali.

Requirements

ICCROM is looking for 20 creative business minds with a few years of experience as cultural entrepreneurs; who are inspiring and creative; who are innovators and risk takers in their country’s cultural heritage and creative industries; and who are committed to transforming and contributing to the sustainability of the creative and cultural sector.

This program aims to foster, mentor, and support cultural entrepreneurs, with the primary goal of creating a platform for debate and exchange, sharing successful models and methodologies, and finding inspiration for new ventures. The program’s outline focuses on the role of culture and cultural heritage as a driver of local and regional development by focusing on: employment, social inclusion, and entrepreneurship in the cultural sector, in line with the main goal of the Youth.Heritage.Africa program; and strengthening the skills of Italian and foreign professionals and internationalization of Italian cultural institutions, in line with the Fondazione’s objectives.

Undertaking Business in Culture provides young Africans and Italians with the opportunity to hone their business talents in the cultural heritage industries. The program will be distinguished by learning by doing and a peer-to-peer approach, with the opportunity to meet and network with other young entrepreneurs, thereby developing an international community of practice.

The program will provide young entrepreneurs in the cultural sector with the training and support they need to advance in five important cluster topics over an 11-week online training module from September to December 2023: business modeling and planning for the cultural and creative sector, fundraising and sponsorship, start-up incubators counseling, sustainability and community involvement in the creative and cultural sector, marketing and communication.

The working is English. The course is free of charge. For More Information: Visit the Official Webpage of the ICCROM Cultural Entrepreneurship Programme 2023
