Assembly Hub and Aiivon Innovation Hub from Nigeria wins the 2022 Afrilabs Virtual Meetup Grant.

Afrilabs has announced the selected winners of the AfriLabs Virtual Meetup Grant – series 7. Three hubs across Africa including two from Nigeria won the 2022 edition. This grant was targeted at “supporting hub communities and building successful ventures through strategic stakeholders engagement”.

The winners were selected following the call for the application, announced at the end of the Hubs Learning Week session in April 2022.

The Virtual Meetup Grant is an initiative of the AfriLabs Capacity Building Programme sponsored by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) through the Digital Africa seed fund. The 4000 Euro grant targets hubs that participate in the quarterly hubs learning week and will continue till the end of this year – 2022.

This quarter, a total of 40 applications were received and screened and only 38 applications were approved for further evaluation via our independent reviewers. Following their approved review, 3 hubs have emerged as winners of the competition and each will receive a grant award of 4000 Euros.

The Hubs are:
The Assembly Hub, West Africa, Lagos – Nigeria
Aiivon Innovation Hub, West Africa, Abuja – Nigeria
NaiLab, East Africa, Nairobi – Kenya
