Ayoba Super App and Adanian Labs Launch SME Accelerator Programme for small businesses in Nigeria.

Ayoba, Africa’s all-in-one app for communication, entertainment, and e-commerce, has collaborated with Adanian Labs to develop a SME Accelerator programme targeted at empowering and accelerating the growth of small businesses in Nigeria.

This SME Accelerator Programme comes at an important moment, as Nigerian SMEs are critical to the country’s economic growth and employment generation.

The SME Accelerator Programme attempts to solve the major issues that small enterprises confront, such as restricted access to funding, technical infrastructure, market access, and mentorship. The program is intended to promote innovation, boost competitiveness, drive growth, and create long-term job prospects.

The Ayoba-Adanian Labs collaboration combines Ayoba’s all-in-one app, which includes a messaging suite, hyperlocal content, games, music, and e-commerce, with Adanian Labs’ expertise in technology solutions and ecosystem growth. The SME Accelerator Programme will leverage these capabilities to provide Nigerian SMEs with vital resources such as digitalization, mentorship, network access, technological support, and partner mobilization for funding, allowing them to overcome barriers and achieve sustainable growth.

The accelerator strives to provide Nigerian SMEs with the tools they need to survive in the digital age by providing targeted mentorship, access to finance options, and technological resources. The initiative will formally open on Monday, July 10th; firms will have two weeks to apply before the top 20 are announced. Adanian Labs will accept applications through their website.

According to recent figures, small and medium-sized firms account for more than 90% of African businesses, accounting for around 50% of employment and 33% of the continent’s GDP. SMEs account for over 96% of all enterprises in Nigeria, employing millions of people and functioning as engines of innovation and economic success.

“The potential impact of empowering Nigerian SMEs is significant,” stated Shiela Yabo, ayoba’s Head of Ecosystem Development. By improving this sector, the country can see faster economic growth, more job possibilities, and better global competitiveness. Furthermore, assisting small enterprises encourages entrepreneurship, stimulates innovation, and adds to wealth creation, ultimately enhancing Nigeria’s general socioeconomic environment.

We are thrilled to be collaborating with Adanian Labs to launch the SME Accelerator Programme, a critical initiative that will empower Nigerian small businesses,” Yabo added. “Through this collaboration, we hope to unlock the potential of Nigerian SMEs, resulting in economic prosperity and opportunities for long-term development.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Ayoba in launching the SME Accelerator program, which holds great promise for Nigerian small businesses,” stated Killian Mayua, Country Manager for Adanian Labs in Nigeria. Adanian Labs is a fervent believer that if Africa’s SME sector is reformed, the continent would fulfill its full potential.
