Bayern Munich sinks PSG to lift the 2020 UEFA Champions League Cup
Bayern Munich are the 2020 UEFA Champions. In the final of the Champions league game played inside the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica in Lisbon, Portugal, the German Champions beat their French counterparts by a lone goal to lift their 6th UEFA Champions League Cup.
The only goal of the March was scored by Kingsley Coman in the 59th minute of the game. PSG tried hard and came close thrice to equalizing but never got the back of the net.
Neymar, the PSG star man, was left disoriented after the last whistle as the speculation had been that this could be his year in PSG and with football history outside of Barcelona. However, Bayern Munich, who played with the mechanics and dynamism of the “German Machine”, made sure that Neymar, Mpappe and the entire PSG team were kept far at bay, from equalizing and from the Championship cup glory for 2020.
According to analysis, Bayern outplayed PSG and had more ball possessions and passes throughout the scintillating 90 plus five extra minutes.
Interestingly, the lone goal scorer, Kingsley Coman, is a former starlet for Paris St Germain, and he had the honor of sinking his former club in the most important match of their 50-year existence, through a header in the 59th minute.
For Bayern, winning the UEFA Cup makes it a treble for them in 2020, matching the Bundesliga title with the German Cup and now the most coveted prize of all., the UEFA Champions League CUP.
Congratulations Bayern, for a victory well deserved.
