British Council Film Lab Africa Accelerator Program for emerging filmmakers and TV producers in Nigeria

The British Council launched Film Lab Africa, a pioneering accelerator initiative designed to support aspiring filmmakers and TV producers in Nigeria. The curriculum has been precisely created to give an all-encompassing framework of support and growth opportunities, encouraging enhanced abilities, enriched knowledge, and extended networks, allowing participants to effectively present their creative output.

Film Lab Africa will run for three years, beginning in September 2023, and will feature a multi-phase approach that delves into mobile phone cinematography, short film production, the intricate realm of film and TV industry entrepreneurship, script refinement, and invaluable opportunities for public presentation.

Criteria for Eligibility
Between the ages of 18 and 35
Nigerian nationality
On the SoCreative E-learning portal, I completed the Creative Entrepreneurship module. To gain access to the site, go to https://communitytraining.britishcouncil.org.
Have at least one credit to your name, as well as a script and production bible ready to proceed into development.
The program is accessible to aspiring filmmakers between the ages of 18 and 35 who live in Nigeria and have at least one credit in filmmaking or TV production.
