CBN Governor, Olayemi Cardoso, approves CBN’s Service Charter
CBN Governor, Olayemi Cardoso, has approved the revised CBN’s Service Charter. Presenting the charter, the Chief Banker said it represent the CBN’s vision to be a people focused central bank.
The Business Facilitation Act (BFA) 2022 mandates the Service Charter in order to promote business facilitation in Nigeria. Additionally, it makes it possible for the Bank to completely abide by the Presidency’s SERVICOM Nigeria directives for the enhancement of customer service delivery. In addition to outlining what the Bank expects from its external clients, the Charter also describes how the Bank pledges to collaborate with them to accomplish their service objectives.
The Bank’s “commitment to providing more responsive and citizen-friendly governance through quality service delivery that is efficient, accountable, and transparent” was restated by the Governor in the preface.
The Bank’s directives, vision, mission, and basic values are all outlined in detail in this document. It includes a list of the services that the Bank provides via each of its departments as well as the service requirements for each service.
A means for reporting service failure in any of the Bank’s services, as well as a standardized Customer Complaints Form, are also included in the Service Charter. To view a soft copy of the document, click the link below.
