Cherie Blair Foundation for Women/Fate Foundation Road to Growth Programme for Nigerian Women Entrepreneurs.
The FATE Foundation, in collaboration with the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, is pleased to announce the commencement of the Road to Growth Programme 2023 for female entrepreneurs leading businesses in Oyo and Ogun State who desire to experience increased confidence and capacity in business.
The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and other partners are funding the program. Road to Growth provides poor and middle-income women entrepreneurs with business skills, financial literacy, networks, and confidence to help them build their businesses. The initiative intends to assist 100 women entrepreneurs running enterprises in Oyo and Ogun States in breaking down barriers and succeeding.
Structure of the Course
The Road to Growth program is a 7-week hybrid program that will take place 8-10 hours per week on the Learning Management System (LMS), Virtual Class sessions, WhatsApp Group meetings, and In-person sessions, all while utilizing cutting-edge classroom management tools. The lectures will be presented in modules, giving participants the flexibility to manage their businesses while participating in the program. The following modules will comprise the program’s core:
Connections (Introduction to the Road to Growth)
Knowing Your Market in Context
(Digital Marketing) Communication
Capability (Knowing Your Industry)
(About Financing) Capital
Personality (Financial Relationships)
(When applying for financing)
Participants will design their growth goals and make immediate improvements in their particular businesses as the seminars proceed.
Requirements
Women business owners who:
• Own at least 50% of the business in Nigeria • Have a business that has generated profit for at least 2 years • Have 3-49 employees • Have basic computer literacy • Can read and write English • Have a strong desire and commitment to grow their business(es)

Stage I: Interested applicants should apply using our Application Platform (SOAR) by clicking the Apply Button.
Stage II: After reviewing all applications received, candidates will be shortlisted for a 10-minute phone/video interview, after which 35 applicants will be selected for the Ogun cohort and 30 for the Oyo cohort of the program.
The program is FREE to all entrepreneurs who successfully grow through the two application rounds, thanks to a relationship with and assistance from the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and other partners. This scholarship covers all direct course expenses, as well as course materials, books, data support, and post-program assistance.
This is a hybrid training, and it is assumed that each entrepreneur that enrolls in the program will be from the location/state where you applied. This will be confirmed during the shortlisting/selection process as well.
