COVID-19 Airport Excellence Awards 2021
The COVID-19 Airport Excellence Awards provide recognition for those airports selected by customers for providing the highest health, hygiene and safety protocols during the global pandemic.
The airport experience has changed dramatically since early 2020, with enhanced cleaning and hygiene systems, social distancing and other customer safety measures introduced worldwide, and these awards honour airports that have achieved some of the highest standards in these areas.
Customers rated airport COVID-19 standards across key categories including COVID-19 information signage, face mask usage enforced, visibility and availability of hand sanitiser, social distancing markings / signage, enforcement of social distancing, seating / F&B social distancing, hygiene procedures at security, social distancing at security / immigration, terminal cleanliness and washroom cleanliness.
