NIO prices electric car IPO

Electric car startup NIO reportedly priced its IPO at $6.25 per share, the bottom of the proposed range. The offering will bring in about $1 billion for the China-based company, which just began shipping cars this summer.

Pendo secures $50M

Raleigh-based Pendo, a provider of software tools for improving user experience, has raised a $50 million Series D round led by Sapphire Ventures.

Swelling fund size is a coastal thing

The average U.S. venture fund size has grown consistently since 2014. However, a Crunchbase News analysis shows that fund size is swelling most at the coasts, while the Midwest and South remain smaller markets for venture capital.

Opendoor acquires Open Listings

Heavily-funded online home-selling platform Opendoor has made its first acquisition, snapping up Open Listings, which provides online tools for homebuyers to navigate the buying process.
