Asia Pacific funding stayed high in Q3
Venture investment in the Asia Pacific region held up at historically high levels in the third quarter, boosted by a quarter-over-quarter rise in reported deal volume. China accounted for most of the funding, including one of the highest recorded numbers of rounds over $100 million.
SoftBank eyes WeWork majority stake
SoftBank has a new idea for spending eye-popping sums of money. The firm is reportedly in discussions to take a majority stake in WeWork, with an investment that could total between $15 billion and $20 billion.

Egnyte, a Silicon Valley-based hybrid cloud storage and collaboration company, has raised a $75 million Series E round led by Goldman Sachs. The round, Egnyte’s first in five years, comes as the already profitable company seeks to accelerate growth.
GoWork secures $14M for co-working
WeWork’s not the only one attracting capital for shared workspaces. GoWork, an Indonesia-based coworking startup, has raised a $13.8 million Series A from Gobi Partners, The Paradise Group, and others.
