Federal Government Suspends the Proposed New National Carrier, Nigeria Air, Indefinitely

The Federal Government has suspended the proposed new National Air Carrier, Nigeria Air, indefinitely. This was contained in a statement released by the Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika, today in Abuja, announcing the suspension.

The statement contained in  her twitter feed said “I regret to announce that the Federal Executive Council has taken the tough decision to suspend the National Carrier Project in the interim. All commitments due will be honoured. We thank the public for the support as always.”

No further details were given for the suspension.
