Former VP Yemi Osinbanjo Shares His Experience of Working With Buhari
Former Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, recently praised Femi Adesina’s book, “Working With Buhari; Reflections of a Special Adviser, Media and Publicity (2015-2023),” as a “wise and proactive” account of his time at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja. Osinbajo received a copy of the book from Adesina during a presentation in Lagos over the weekend.
Osinbajo commended the book’s quality and the speed at which Adesina completed it, considering it was published just seven months after they left office. He also highlighted the importance of Adesina’s insider perspective, stating that it provides the most reliable account of their experiences.
The former Vice President praised the book’s richness of information and described it as a personal discussion with Nigerians about who President Buhari truly was. Osinbajo believes that Adesina, as a former Special Adviser, is the best person to represent the former President and provide an in-depth analysis of their era. In summary, Osinbajo considers the book to be an honest and valuable account of their time working with President Buhari.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Special Guest of Honour, is expected to attend the launch on January 16. Former President Muhammadu Buhari will also be present as a Special Guest, along with former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, who will serve as the Chairman. General I.B.M. Haruna will be the Co-Chairman. Additionally, a royal delegation from the Saudi Arabia Royal Family, led by HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Faisal Al Saud, will grace the occasion. Alhaji Mohammed Indimi, the billionaire businessman and founder/chairman of Oriental Energy Resources Limited, will serve as the Chief Launcher.
