Investors gain N44 billion from the stock market on Tuesday

The NGX All-Share index increased by 0.15% to close at 53,238.67 points on Tuesday. Trade turnover settled higher with the value of transactions rising by 3.86%. A total of 4,328 transactions in 250.19 million shares worth N5.88 billion were completed

The good performance of the overall market was driven by gains in GEREGU (+10.00%). The year-to-date (YTD) return increased to 3.88% as a result, and the market capitalization increased by N44.03 billion to close at 29 trillion.

With 14.16 million units exchanged, GTCO (-0.20%) topped the volume chart, while AIRTELAFRI (+0.00%) topped the value one with trades totaling $3.31 billion. On the gainer’s table, GEREGU (+10.00%) outperformed twenty-one (21) rivals, while CHAMS (-10.00%) outperformed thirteen (13) rivals.
