Manchester City Wins the Premier League for the 4th time in a row
Manchester City Football club today at the Etihad Stadium defeated West Ham United by 3 goals to 1 to win the 2024 premier league trophy, making it the fourth premier league title in a row. Second secured the title with 91 points from their 38 games of the season, two points above Arsenal Football Club, their nearest rival.
No other team in English Football history has won the premier league four times in a row. Thus, Manchester City has made yet another Football history winning the premier league title for four consecutive years.
The Champions opened scoring in the second minute of play through their wonder kid, Phil Foden. Foden scored the second goal for City in the 18th minute of play as he converted a pass from Jeremy Doku. But in the 42nd minute of play West Ham pulled a goal back through a bicycle kick by Mohammed Kudus. However, in the 59th minute of the second half, Rodri netted the third goal for City, combining with Bernado Silva. Manchester City’s highest scorer, Erling Harland missed many scoring chances, about six in all and could not find the net.
Arsenal Football club came second in the 2024 premier league season with 89 points. In their final game played at the Emirates stadium, they came from a lone goal down to defeat Everton Football club by 2:1.
Luton Football Club, Burney Football Club and Sheffield United Football Club are relegated from the Premier league as they last on the table for the 2024 season.
