Morocco, Portugal, Spain and Saudi Arabia submit bids for 2030 and 2034 FIFA World Cups

Morocco, Portugal, and Spain have confirmed their desire in hosting the FIFA World Cup 2030 (www.FIFA.com); Saudi Arabian Football Federation’s declaration of interest for the FIFA World Cup 2034TM was also received, while Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay have expressed interest in hosting celebration games; The member associations convening at FIFA Congresses will pick the hosts of the FIFA World Cup, after which there will be extensive bidding processes.

For the 2030 and 2034 FIFA World Cups, the FIFA administration will conduct comprehensive bidding and evaluation processes in accordance with the Bidding Regulations (https://apo-opa.info/3QinC1V) approved by the FIFA Council. FIFA Congresses are expected to appoint the hosts by Q4 2024.

To guarantee that complete and comprehensive bids are received and reviewed against the minimum hosting standards as also previously authorized by the FIFA Council, the FIFA administration will, in compliance with these regulations, engage in a focused interaction with bidders.

The specified priority areas of the event vision and key metrics, infrastructure, services, commerce, sustainability, and human rights will be the main topics of discussion in this conversation. FIFA will then make its evaluation findings public. If all of those conditions are satisfied, the member associations present at the FIFA Congress will select the events’ hosts.
