Nafdac’s Safety Week for September
NAFDAC – the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, in its quest to promote safety and safety awareness among Nigerians is holding a safety from September 8 – 10. The event holds at the Eko Hotel in Lagos.
Since its establishment in 1993, NAFDAC has championed and promoted food and drug safety in Nigeria. Before NAFDAC the issue of substandard and fake products reigned supreme and Nigerians were at the very mercy of the unscrupulous agents. Today the name NAFDAC has become synonymous with safety, originality and genuineness. Thanks to the towering and unrelenting efforts of the management and staff of NAFDAC.
As a way of sustaining effort, the agency set up its CONSUMER SAFTY CLUB (NCSC) as a public enlightenment and sensitization platform to augment its eradication of fake/substandard regulated product campaign and enthronement of quality culture.
On an annual basis, it holds the safety week which among other things gives it the opportunity to create more public awareness on its activities and thus helping people see ways to avoid fake and substandard products in the market.
This years safety week is coming on the heels of the agency’s successes and its global recognition.
