National Para Games will Foster Inclusivity in Sports – John Owan Enoh
The highly anticipated 2nd Edition of the National Para Games was officially opened by Senator John Owan Enoh, Minister of Sports Development, ushering in an incredible display of tenacity, resolve, and exceptional athletic ability.
The National Para Games, which are a showcase of inclusivity and support for athletes with disabilities, got underway at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja with a stunning opening ceremony that drew competitors from all across the country. For athletes with impairments, the Games provide as a source of inspiration and motivation to pursue their love of sports competitively.
In his inauguration speech, Senator John Owan Enoh emphasized the importance of the National Para Games as a venue to honor the enthusiasm and extraordinary skills of para-athletes. The National Para Games, now in its second edition, provides a stage for para-athletes to demonstrate their skills in a variety of competitions in a wide range of sports. The objectives of the Games include raising awareness of the skills of athletes with impairments as well as encouraging healthy competition.
Honorable Minister of State for Youth Development Hon. Ayodele Olawande, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, Ministry Directors, and other state-based sports directors were among the dignitaries present at the Opening Ceremony.
