NGX All-Share Index rebounds slightly on Thursday with 3bps
Activity on the Lagos bourse was mixed, albeit with a bullish tilt as the benchmark index closed marginally higher (+0.03%) at 49,652.25 points. Gains in WAPCO (1.88%), UBA (+1.39%) and UBN (+7.14%) offset the declines in ACCESSCORP (-1.14%), INTBREW (-1.00%) and STERLNBANK (-0.68%). Consequently, the year-to-date (YTD) return stood at 16.24%, while the market capitalisation rose by ₦8.90bn to close at ₦26.78trn. Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled lower relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions reducing by 2.50%. A total of 161.88m shares valued at ₦1.63bn were exchanged in 3,541 deals. TRANSCORP (+1.85%) led the volume charts with 30.97m units traded while MTNN (+0.00%) led the value charts in deals worth ₦692.20m. Market breadth closed positive at a 2.11-to-1 ratio with advancing issues outnumbering declining ones. ETRANZACT (+9.81%) topped eighteen (18) others on the leader’s table, while VITAFOAM (-9.96%) led eight (8) others on the laggard’s log. Find below key highlights of market activities |
